Wild Companion

This is a painting on paper which i painted as part of a series of ten begun in May 2006. It's on of the "protagonists" of the series: a solitary walker through the nowheres of the city. The reds are acrylic, the blacks ink and the white of the space is the paper itself..Parts are painted, others aren't and yet it is complete. I called the painting "Wild Companion" because the guy looks so lost and yet he seems to be on the verge of an energetic lapse..
